Blogging Paws

Woofie Everyone!

Aunty Vvens has been so busy with work (and ahem, falling in love) lately that there’s simply no time for her to do her blogging these couple of weeks. And since all I do is laze around at home, I’ve been tasked to type my story in this pwetty pink space.

First o’ all, let me introduce myself.

My name is Cooper and I’m a Golden Retriever. Here’s a recent picture of me in my new blue tag :P

I was born on 6 July 2010, so that makes me two years old in three more months! I still behave very much like a puppy though.

People say I’m an angmoh dog because of my blonde hair, double eyelids and big, brown eyes that sometimes glisten like gold under the Sun.

My mummy first met me on 2 September 2010. I was only eight weeks old. There were six of us and I was the leader of the pack. *Beams with pride*

I’m the one furthest to the left! You can see that my bowl is fuller than the rest of my brothers and sisters because my caretaker used to feed me last. That’s because I’m the fastest eater and I’d finish up my food real quick and snatch the remaining noms left in the bowls meant for my siblings. I’m a big bully like that.

That’s me on the far right with my cream coloured brother, Dash, and my brown brother whom I’ve lost contact with.

That’s me going up to mummy for the very first time in my life. I was curious about that thing she was holding that made snappy sounds, which I later found out was what humans call the Camera.

This is me chilling on a curb before mummy left. Can’t believe I used to fit into that small space!

On 20 September 2010, mummy and her friends brought me home in a box.

“Are you my mummy?” I asked.

For a few weeks I stayed in my play pen until I was house broken. I learnt how to pee in the pee tray.

When I turned 4 months old, I visited the dog park for the first time and met my brother, Dash, coincidentally! I’m the one on the right by the way.

We spent some time wrestling…

And laying next to each other…

And before we parted, he gave me a kiss!

I sure miss that dude.

Mummy walks me once or twice a day, depending on her schedule. Here’s a picture of me in the park.

There was once it rained so heavily on our way back. We took shelter under a block and I fell asleep on mummy’s lap.

Sometimes, dahdee (mummy’s bf) would bring us to the reservoir nearby.

This is my favourite picture of dahdee and me!

Back at home, I play with my toys. I used to have tonnes of soft toys until my teeth became too strong for them.

That’s me at 6 months old. I was quite a bald kid.

This is me now. Rubber toys became my new favourite! And yes sometimes I can cleverly stack toys.

My favourite expression has to be my famous please-play-with-me puppy eyes.

I can even do it standing up.

I kind of enjoy balancing a tennis ball on my head too. I’m an acrobat like that.

My life since the puppy days has more or less been the same, just that I’m loved by more and more people daily :)

Oh oh, my fur grew out a lot too, but it’s not the full length yet, so mummy has to use my bath towel to tame my stray ends after shower. I hate it because it makes me look gay.

But it makes me a handsome young lad when I’m all dry!

I’d love to talk more about myself, but mummy says it’s bedtime, so I should probably end my entry soon!

Today, I learnt how to blog, thanks to Aunty Vvens. I love trying new things and embarking on new adventures! I hope that everyone who read about me today can stay as positive as myself, and not be afraid to explore into the wild. Who knows what you may find? Like me, I blogged with paws :)

Good night everyone!

Recipe for Rainbow Cupcakes!

Hello, it’s me! Chef Cindy! I’m known as the BFF who was born on the same day as vvens and we celebrated our Rainbow Rendezvous birthday exactly one month ago. Remember this….

Our awesome rainbow cupcake baked by ME! It doesn’t only looks gorgeous, it tastes super yummy and the crowd would definitely love it!

Why do I need to blog about it? The recipe is everywhere around the internet! BUT I’m gonna share with you a step by step tutorial on how to make these super adorable cupcakes <3 <3

Firstly, the tools and ingredients..

What you’ll need (cake):-
250g Unsalted Butter
250g Self-raising Flour
250 Caster Sugar
4 Eggs
2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon Salt
3 tablespoon Milk
Food Coloring (Red, Blue, Yellow & Green)

What you’ll need (icing):-
250g Cream Cheese
100g Unsalted Butter
1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
4 – 6 Cups Icing Sugar

What you’ll need (tools):-
Mixer (Hand/Electric)
Measuring Cups & Spoons
Spatula
Cupcake Liners
Cupcake Tray
6 Empty Glasses/Bowls/Cup
Piping bags (for icing)

1. Pre-heat oven to 200 degree C.

2. Beat butter and sugar at high speed for at least 3 minutes until light and fluffy.

3. Fold in eggs one at a time at low speed.

4. Add flour slowly and mix well at low speed.

5. Add vanilla extract, mix.

6. Add salt, mix.

7. Add milk, mix.

8. Divide the cake mix into 6 different glasses. Look, I used these pretty glasses that resembles the color of the cake mix.

9. Add in the food coloring, Red (1 tsp red), Orange (1/4 tsp red, 3/4 tsp yellow), Yellow (1 tsp yellow), Green (1 tsp green), Blue (1 tsp blue), Purple (1/4 tsp blue, 3/4 tsp red). Mix! Mix! Mix!

10. Spoon the mix into cupcake liners starting with purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, then red. Like this.

11. Place the tray into the pre-heated oven at 200 degrees C for 15 – 20 minutes.

12. When it’s ready, place a toothpick into the cupcake and make sure it come out clean. If it’s not, then put it back into the oven for another few minutes.

13. Place the freshly baked cupcakes onto wired trays to cool.

14. For the icing, beat together all the ingredients until fluffy! The longer you beat the fluffier and yummier it is.

15. The icing on top completes the whole rainbow cupcake. Swirl them anyway you like but I prefer them looking like clouds. Start the swirling in the middle, two cycles, and end in the middle.

I made a mistake with the math. I made 24 cupcakes instead of 25. And that explains the random M&M’s in the middle. Lol!

So easy! Isn’t it? You can serve them at birthday parties, open houses, themed parties (like ours!).

Look at what vvens gave me as a birthday present! Well, that’s only part of it. I absolutely love it! She knows what my obsessions are. I must try them out real soon!

That’s all folks! See ya! :)

It’s My Turn!

And I initially wanted to spam this page with pictures of me and her from way back.

But you know, it’s funny because now I can’t do that because most of our pictures are stuck in my desktop in my family home while I’m loitering about on a laptop that hates me in my second “home.” sigh. Such is life of the forgetful and the separation of computers. And no. I refuse to use pictures off facebook because they are distorted and blur and all sorts of irritating smallness.

But it’s not like I need any introduction because my face gets plastered here a lot anyway. But just in case you don’t remember, here’s well … a reminder. wtf

Well. This is obviously me, Ginny from that crummy impossible to spell blog known as obs3ssionsz.net where the depressed get more depressed and the not so depressed just get annoyed or dumbfounded by the amazing cloud of negativity and cryptic post paired with the relatively ancient pictures i tend to spam my blog with… *takes deep breath*… wearing a tie dye top i absolutely adore nicked off Vanity Dreams which i will now take this opportunity to remind miss Vvens that she has yet to appear in and for all Vven fans out there she will probably appear in one day and if you’re sick and desperate and just want to own something she’s worn that would be a good opportunity for you, yes?

AND

that very cute thing you see on my lap with it’s eyes half opened and half closed and its massive ears poking into my face… is unfortunately NOT my dog. His name is Qoo and he’s a chihuahua if that isn’t obvious enough for you. His name is important because i like Qoo the character;- you know, that blue thing with rosy pink cheeks and found quite often on can drinks NOT in malaysia. This is also important because if i remember correctly, miss Vvens also likes Qoo and has some of it’s cans randomly decorating her room. WTF.

She also likes Japanese food.

Perhaps like is an understatement.

And sorrehh for the senget pic but my old camera settings does not comply with my hate me macbook so too bad cuz im too lazy to edit pics.

Just in case you want to stalk her.

She’s crazy addicted to this udon place that shall not be named in Tmn Desa =X

Vvens can also blow! *ahem* and since i barely have any pics of us in my lappie currently, if you squint hard enough you will see a hidden me on the left and the other remaining member of the Fishball Clan (female wise) on the right who has obviously already made her mark previously. WHAT U DUNNO AH?! means you not loyal reader lor then. Tsk.

You don’t believe she enjoys blowing meh!

Nah i give you another pic as proof of her joy ;)

TADAH! her muka gembira main blow blow bubbles! wtf. actually maybe she posted this picture already im not sure because i always loose track of such things.

But this is one of the many reasons why i love her long time!

For my 21st birthday, me being the demanding and annoying person i am refused to stay in KL where it’s nice and convenient for everybody. I then decided OKAY IMMA GONNA SPEND MY BDAY IN MELAKA! and she and the male member of fishball clan had work on the day we went up! but the both of them, *sniffles cause too gam tong* actually drove up together AFTER work for me!!

HAIH! where to find such awesome friends you tell me?

It’s not like in Shah Alam or Klang you know. It’s like a totally different state all together after work during RUSH HOUR!  I know you jeles wan. It’s okay, no biggie. *flips hair with chuen face*

In other not so surprising news, look at these tasty apple puff pastry stars she help me make =D YAHLAH!!! LOOKS DAMN GOOD RIGHT!! it is damn nice. ask her. even her white handphone over there cannot stay away from there yummeh tarts we made. HOHOHOHO.

actually FML. posting this picture while im hungry is kind of stupid. I want that sweet apple taste now. WTF

and i know im digressing but then there was no main topic to my post what! CHEH!

but before i further confuse you guys with pointless pictures that don’t mean anything to those who were not involved in the making process of said pictures i just wanna post ONE more picture to prove my love for Vvens.

This is my blackberry that is not black. More stating of the obvious. WTF. and that is a picture of us girls at her joint birthday party. YAHLAH i know la it’s not just both of us but still this is like my wallpaper for damn long already okay!! plus look how well it matches my phones overall theme. DAMN EPIC NGAM okay!!

wtf.

i know you’re annoyed already.

so toodles and Vvens will resume blogging soon ;)

MUACKS!

With love from down under.

Hello there. If you’re reading this, you have some sort of the similar interest as my BFF here, VIVIEN. And I’m sure you’ll like me, just like how she does too. :)

It’s me, the other BFF, Carmen. Similar to Cindy, I do not blog as well, so I would not call myself a guest blogger. I’m just helping this babi girl to keep her blog alive and going since she’s been really occupied with work lately.

So yea, it is not easy being 5712km (exact distance) away from my 2 favourite people in the world. Well, distance is not the issue here because we still do still talk almost every other day anyways.

In Adelaide (that’s where I am now), it is pretty laid back and can sometimes be pretty quiet but after awhile, you know there’s so much to explore around here. Being here, away from the busy KL and convenience of everything, you find that most of time you are doing things out of your norm.

#1 Like visiting the beach.

#2 Drive 1-2hrs away to wineries.

#3 Then visit the cellar door and taste their wine and nibbles they offer or buy them.

#4 Drive around and see sun rays.

#5 HUGE flowers during spring

#6 Lay out and chill under the sun.

#7 Stare at pretty sky and trees

#8 Climb up the roof to look at what’s behind your backyard

BUT

Of course home is where your heart will always be. I miss the things we can do together..

#9 Pretend to be animals together

#10 Have drinks together

#11 Bake together

#12 Maybe go cycling together

AND SO MANY MORE! It’ll be a super duper long post and I don’t wanna scare you guys with our lovey dovey stories. Hehehhe.

#13 Nevermind, we’re just a flight away!

From wearing similar uniforms to school to graduating together. We have come a long way. I’m not going anywhere and so are you. I’ll be here if you need me. They say, “Friendship is not a big thing, but millions of small little things together.” So, here’s a virtual toast to many more years of friendship!

Next, I want to see you get married! :) XOXO

Love, Carmen.

I’m a Babi Girl

Yes, I’m Cindy Babi BFF. Hi :)

Well, this is the second guest blogger (I wouldn’t call myself a blogger because I don’t blog) filling in for vvens due to her exhibition duty. I refer to vvens as Sam with a chinese slang instead of Vivien or Wens. We knew each other 16 years ago when we were 7 years old, you can do the math. I’m just gonna scrap those old photos thingy and let’s look at some new ones. Yah, I was an ugly kid.

#01 Us having cendol in Malacca. Sweet BFF moment.

I had to post a picture of both of us or not it wouldn’t make sense right? That shows how lovey-dovey we are. We hit each other a lot. We argue a lot (for the past 16 years). We fight, we laugh at each other. If she falls into the pond I will laugh and then save. This is how we express our love <3

Vivien is known as the bully among her family, friends, collegues and wtv. But when it comes to both of us, I’m the bully. You heard it from me :D

#02 She might think she is though.

And another thing, we share the same birthday. On the same day, same month and same year. I think many people knows. By that, we’re supposed to have similar personalities but it wasn’t obvious. Like I love dogs but she doesn’t.

#03 My doggies! She hates them.

#04 She loves taking picture of herself, but I don’t.

#05 I bake, she doesn’t. Look at how amazed she is when she saw a cake from the oven like “oh my gosh, how did she do it?” :p

Haha however, we do have a lot in common.

#06 We love shopping crazily!

#07 We think the same. We didn’t plan our poses.

And we have the same kind of lameness. Last Tuesday was our usual hip-hop class yo, and she was crying about the huge zit on her forehead (not literally crying la). Then I went into my make-up artist mode and help her conceal it. When I was concealing the zit she asked me:-

Vivien: You know penjodoh bilangan right?

Me: Yah, I think so.

Vivien: So what is the penjodoh bilangan for bola.

Me: Err biji.

Vivien: Paper?

Me: Sehelai!

Vivien: Kereta?

Me: …. Dunno. (I know.. I suck)

Vivien: Sebuah!!

Me: Ohh yah yah.

Vivien: Then what about siew pau.

Me: Siew pau? Biji?

Vivien: No, think.

So I paused because I was concentrating on the concealing process and right after I finished..

Me: Siew pau ar? Err Seremban?

Then we started laughing together, “hahahahahahah”. We are retardedly cute babi girls just like that :D

Besides that, we are pretty lucky too when it comes to contests. She won a blackberry, laptop, handphone, CDs(she gave one to me!), Jay Chou concert tickets, SuJu concert tickets(she brought me!) and many many more, I couldn’t keep up.

Recently I won a contest that includes a pair of concert tickets in Singapore, a pair of return flight tickets, 2 night accomodation at a five star hotel, shopping vouchers worth of $600 Singapore Dollars, a makeover session and meet&greet passes to see

Wait for it…..

JUSTIN BIEBER!!!!!

#08 Bieber Fever!!!!!

Please don’t hate me now. I have to say it I <3 JB after that meet&greet session. I wasn’t a big fan and all before that. But he is super duper cute and really nice actually. Poor boy has so many haters. They strictly said “NO AUTOGRAPHS!” during meet&greet. But guess what, he ignored the security guy and did this

#09 He scribbled. And that was the marker he used! Hahahahaha!

Enough of Justin Bieber, back to vvens. One last thing that I need to say

I LOVE YOU SAM!! <3

Bye :)

Circles in Life

(Note : Please diregard all the unaligned and unporpotionate photo sizes because I found them here and there. You know how Vivien usually has her photos aligned nicely! Sorry!)

Hello everyone!

Sorry if you have been expecting vvens (v.v.e.n.s – not w.e.n.s) to be writing because I shall be conquering her post today, followed by a few special guests in the following days. To start of the marathon of guest bloggers, I should introduce myself first and try to steal a few readers. I’m Natalie Chai – and is Vivien’s friend that looks closest to a  Moon Hamster. Yeap, thats a hamster with a moon face. I really hoped that I’m talking about the cute element, but actually – its just the retarded face. Hamster faces only look cute on hamsters – period.

I’ve known this mini sized girl since I was 13 – that is about 8 years ago in school. She is two years my senior, but looks 4 years minier. Actually, I think we got to know each other through the spreading rumors of how much I of a resemblance I had with one of her two precious babi girls (meaning, bestie).  I have to be frank, back then she was so scrawny and didn’t smile much (now I know it’s just her duh face) so I didn’t really talk to her. We had a few photos together in sticker booths, although I don’t know where that came from!

Not sure if we have other photos together, but this is one of the photo that I remember most prominently because I manged to look absolutely dashing. I mean, dashingly eye boggling. We still talk about how dashing I look in this photo now, and laugh about it. This was our most memorable early days photos as eye signal hi bye friend. Meaning to say, we say hi with our eyes and weak smile instead of verbal hi’s and byes.

Don’t know how and when did this happen!

It wasn’t until about 2 years ago that we started talking a little bit more, and I’m kind of happy to say that I think I finally found someone who does have quite a number of striking resemblances in terms of values and lifestyles with me. Quite reserved in many ways, but that doesn’t translate to being overly conservative. Everytime we do something a little bit more outgoing, it will kind of be the talk of the night because we aren’t usually very out-there in the social network (eg : clubbing). Ironically, we have spent alot of late night outs together from karaoke session to many laid back activities. It’s like we can actually survive in more comfortable zones. Sometimes we wonder if we should step out of the comfort zone, but the answer always comes to no.

This was most probably one of the trips that bonded us a whole lot more – the Nuffnang Asia Blog Awards 2009. We exchanged alot of stories during the journey in the bus and I guess that’s where we started finding commons grounds. We were also roommates for the first time and it was also here that I learnt that she had really sensitive skin because she freaked out when I sat on her hotel bed! Frankly, I hate people to just come and sit (or even worse, sleep) on my bed especially with all the bacteria from outside! I don’t mind them sitting down at the edges but with the legs all up, I kind of go crazy thinking of what to do with the mattress. I really applaud Vivien because she DID say something, when I normally don’t have the guts too. I sat on the edges of her bed while talking ot her when she suddenly stoned. #sofunny

We don’t usually go around in twos, but also with Ginny – who we claim are the permanent members of what we call the Fishball Clan because we once ate like a mountain stickfuls of curry fishballs in the karaoke buffet. Ginny is quite contrasting when it comes to values and perceptions, but when we come together I suppose we embrace similarities then just point out the differences and that, itself will paint a rainbow of conversations. We do have many things that we like in common (for me, not the cutesy stuff lah) that I can’t just name here so I guess that contributes too.

I don’t know how much you know about Vivien, but one thing I can tell you – she is mini, but strictly cannot be bullied! I’m not trying to say that she is angsty but whoever who tries to attack her for being mini with a cute face, she has a way to snap back Vivien style! This girl also has one of the most chikik driving skills that I have ever encountered (of both guys and girls!) and I know she speeds and zooms when she’s alone. Luckily, whenever she has a passenger she always drives really steadily. All I can say is, she has full control of her car that she names Tofu – and makes it move the way she feels!

One thing that I am really, really, really grateful about when it comes to both Vivien, and Ginny is that they give me legs! I have to be honest and confess that I don’t usually go anywhere unless I’m going out with them because I like to be comfortable (I know I have to change!) but sometimes this means that they have to come pick me up from home (because I don’t drive/have a car/but got license) each single time I want to go out. Normally it’s like this, Ginny picks me up and Vivien drops me home. I don’t know how to fix this problem – can you all please teach me. I really want to go out but sometimes because of me one of them has to be stuck in a jam, or have to be home really late just because they have to drop me home. They always tell me its okay and I know they mean it, but I’m sure there are some of you who are in this position right? Cabbing is not an option anymore, especially at night – so tell me some suggestions if you have!

Guys, if you really want to know about Vivien – she’s a girl with bagfuls of cheesy jokes and knows all the cheesy lines so don’t even bother trying to hit on her with the lame pick up lines like “You look so cute”. She’s not going to take that. Oh wait, you know what – don’t try it on any girls. The next time you want to do something like that – say it only to girls who goes like “Nolah, where got ah I so ugly like pig” but proceeds to continue taking photo of self and spamming the Facebook albums with it.”

Yeah, maybe that will do.

One of the most talked about topics is Jay Chou, but obviously the photo above is JJ Lin when we were at the autograph session with Jamie! Vivien and I share alot of common genres when it comes to music and comical elements when it comes to entertainment. It is also one of our hobbies to reenact funny cuts from movies or dramatic scenes or dialogues from historical dramas. Ginny is unable to participate in this healthy activity (lol) because she is Cantonese mute. Not Cantonese disabled, but Cantonese mute. Like, the language is IN her but rarely comes out pfft.

I hate Vivien because she is my cute face rival. Yes, I’m trying to make the hamster face applicable to MY face so she is a threat! Therefore I deserve a big ribbon on my head, but she fights the battle with me with a gu niang pleat and that pawned the look of the day. Grr.

Anyways, it has been a brief discussion about us in general, and if you may have any inquiries please dial 1800-UNAVAILABLE.

Okeh bai bai
