Finale of #Thaibound Trip

The #thaibound series has finally came to its end!

After the previous blogged place, we headed to mango Tango. A popular mango dessert shop. Most mangoes lovers would know and we were lucky enough to be there before the crowd. And if you intend to visit the place again, it is now located at Siam Square Soi 3 instead of Soi 5. They moved to a bigger store :)

Most importantly, the desserts as still as good as ever!

So, a night before we left Bangkok… We visited Khao San Road. It is a famous spot for tourist. 85% of the faces you see there do not belong to locals. Though I’ve been to Bangkok frequent enough, it was actually my first visit to Khao San road. And we went there for bizarre snack!

Fried insects!!!!!!!! Daryl tasted a few of them and he clearly enjoyed it! I did not try them because I still couldn’t bring myself to. You should try if you are as adventurous as Daryl. Don’t worry, the insects are safe to eat and accordingly to him, they are yummy and very nutritious too! Best when eaten with cold beers. LOL.

For me, my forte is more likely to be ice cream. I had aplenty of them during this trip. And I had to try this super interesting blue ice cream I’ve been seeing on my Instagram feed.

The blue marshmallow flavoured ice cream! It was yummy but the food colouring killed me. Don’t even bother to imagine the colour of my output on the next day. LOL!!

If you haven’t noticed, we got ourselves a couple tee too! We usually have the guts to wear matchy stuff when we are abroad. Lol less embarrassing mah.

That was a wrap to our #thaibound trip too.

We had lotsa fun, lotsa Thai food and visited so many places. We then compiled everything to a simple video here… Enjoy it!

Before I end this post, I would like to make a special shoutout to Blacklane for its professional ground transportation at the lowest rates. We did not use their service only in Malaysia but also in Bangkok. They have us with them back and forth to the airport. They saved a lot of our headache in hitching one at the peak hours.

Also, they do not come in typical cars but you can opt to have luxurious car ride too! Besides, their services are available in most of the countries and you will not have to worry about being cheated and what not! Everything is not a problem with Blacklane! :)

  1. My suspicion would be that the NIL <-> Unemployed movement may reflect single-income families with working wives and/or marginally self-employed men. When the economy gets tough, if a spouse loses a job it becomes necessary for the man to to back into the regular labor market in order to obtain the income and/or benefits for the household. You might be able to test this by plotting this series against the female employment series to see if perhaps female employment dips prior to an increase in male participation. Unfortunately, I don't have time to investigate it myself right now, but the series are curious.

  2. May25 I would like to thnkx for the efforts you’ve put in writing this site. I’m hoping the same high-grade blog post from you in the upcoming also. In fact your creative writing abilities has inspired me to get my own blog now. Actually the blogging is spreading its wings quickly. Your write up is a great example of it.
