HELLO! I’m back from The Era’s weekend. OMG. I’m falling in love with Jay Chou all over again. Not that I’ve fallen out in love but but but I just decided to add more love because his performances were really good during the both nights of the concert! And I am really glad that I was able to attend for both the nights!!! Thank you KL Sogo for the tickets on the first night and thank you to myself for working and saving real hard for the Rock Zone ticket on the second night.

One the first night, I attended the concert with Yong Tze :) The others such as Natalie, Ginny, Cindy and Luiz were there too but we were all seated at different places. Ahh. How I wished we were all seated in the same group. It must be really fun then!

Anyway, I know you guys have been waiting for me to upload the pictures I’ve taken during the concert right! So I shall blab no more and here comes the photos and videos spamming! Just to let you know that all are taken by myself during both nights plus, I am mixing them up and sharing the best among so that is why you might be seeing similar photos with different angles. I will also try to explain well about both nights of the concert in one post without confusing you guys. Hehe. The songs he performed are almost the same, unless stated.

Here they come……

#01 The crowd on Friday and trust me, the crowd on Saturday were crazier. Gosh. If only I do not need to work before the concerts, I would turn up in the stadium way earlier!

#02 The queue at the official merchandise booth was crazy too. Lucky I’ve got mine ordered before the concert because they are all gone on Friday itself!

#03 Polaroids before entering the stadium. That’s the very cute Dionn on the left and my BFF Cindy on the right.

#04 On Friday night, my seat was at the VVIP Block R Row 9 Seat 215. I was 9 rows away from the stage. Was a little bit emo because I used to be sitting right infront, and at the center of the stage too. Now I’m so much further and stuck right in the middle of the crowd. Pfft but it turned out real good starting from last 1/3 part of the show!

#05 Yong Tze and I. The lighting made our complexion looked as if they were flawless! haha.

#06 WOOHOO! And the concert begins!!! But before it began, there were 2 local singers were invited up stage to perform 1 song each before Jay. Seriously, they were close to unknown in the industry and sorry to say but I thought their performances were really not necessary. We don’t even get to see them on the stage…..

Back to Jay, the concert began surprisingly quite punctual! I expected it to begin like at least 30 minutes after the scheduled time, as usual. And it started with a close to 2 minutes 3D graphic that took my breathe away. Okok. I didnt get to see well in the stadium due to the angle and position I was at but I have already seen it in the DVD earlier. Gorgeous effect!

#07 For both the nights, the first 3 songs he sang were the same. The first song was 龙战骑士 -Dragon Rider.

#08 The 3D stage with neon light sticks and neon outfits on the dancers.

#09 The second song he sang was 跨时代 – The Era.

#11 I liked those laser but it was really distractive and hard for me to capture Jay’s picture with my very limited camera. Pfft.

#13 And the third song is a duet with Lara Veromin, 蛇舞 – Serpent Dance.

#14 While Lara was singing and dancing below, Jay was singing and having his dancer, Erica danced beside him. I thought she’s a little chubby for a dancer.

#16 This video was recorded on the second night. On Friday, his voice wasnt at a very good condition. It was rather rough, for the whole night. And on Saturday, he sang the first 3 songs with the same voice. He went out of tune a little bit here and there. He actually noticed his own mistakes and said, “Something is wrong with my voice. I need water…” See him touching his own throat/neck above? Heee…

#17 And as soon as he had his gulp of water, he tested his voice. It was back to perfect and hence, this vocal testing video. And check out how he touches his hair.. He does that all the time!

#18 The fourth song was also the same for both nights but he started it with a different way of beat box. Love this special version of 爱在西元前 – Love Before Century.

#19 For the 5th song on Friday, it was 我不配 - I’m Not Worthy while on Saturday, it was 说好的幸福呢 - Where is Our Promised Happiness? Love both these songs la <3

#20 The sixth song was back to routine. It was the very cool 嘻哈小姐 – Hip-hop Air Stewardess where he got loads of sexy dancers around.

#21 Next it was one of my favourite concert songs in The Era. It was 威廉古堡 – William’s Castle. The only difference of this song was that he had a white furry jacket on Friday and none on the next night. Hahaha. Probably it was dirty or it was too hot for him to have it on. I love how he sang this song in the concert and how his live performance was linked to the graphics behind him.

#22 And he did a very good job in resuming the show with a very cheerful song 魔术先生 – Mr Magician right after the creepy vampire song.

#23 Not only that the song was cheerful, the whole dancing was very very cute!! Hehehe.

#24 Up next, he had his 2nd show guest up stage. It was Cindy 袁咏琳. Gosh! I wished she did her singing ONLY because she also did promote herself and her Facebook Fanpage during the concert. That was really speechless. Pfft. She sang her own song, 你不爱我 – You Don’t Love Me followed by a duet with Jay after he changed his outfit ;p

#25 On the first night they sang 黑色幽默 – Black Humour while on the next day, they sang Cindy’s song 画沙 – Sand Painter.

#27 Then, the 3rd group of special guests appeared. They were 浪花兄弟 – The Drifters. On Friday, they sang Jay’s 说好的幸福呢 the rock version (I thought it was quite a bad performance T_T) and 你是我的OK绷. On Saturday they sang 想你就写信 and 你是我的OK绷. When they were singing, it was the only time my camera got to rest a bit! Hahaha I know I’m mean ;p

#28 Jay then took back his show by singing 稻香 – Paddy Fragrance, 阳光宅男 – Sunny Otaku and 龙卷风 – Tornado while playing the very very beautiful piano. On Saturday night, he did a little bit of lyrics changes for Sunny Otaku. It was something like, “Listen to my song if you are upset. You will be happy with my song….” :) Also, he did play a classical music score on the same night for Tornado’s intro.

#29 青花瓷 – Blue and White Porcelain for Friday and 烟花易冷 – Cold Fireworks. Both are his famous traditional Chinese styled songs.

#30 A random dancing and music challenge show on stage while Jay changes his outfit again.

#31 And there he goes :) :) 免费教学录影带 – Free Instructional Video!! It was one song that made everyone in the stadium really high.

#32 Especially when he played his guitar THIS way. He claimed it to be his J-Style on guitar playing. It was really cool laaaaaaa. Love it!

#33 He was still performing the same song in this picture..

#35 Next, he sang 时光机 – Time Machine!! And during the first night of The Era, he told us that he will be coming down the stage to shake hands of the fans. OMG. Everyone went crazy. I wanted to shake his hands so badly but I couldn’t because I wasnt in the rock zone. Gosh. These people are so so so lucky!!!! So, I told myself that I must shake his hands on Saturday night when I’m in the rock zone!!!

#36 And I did it on Saturday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 He didn’t announce when he came down to shake this time but I knew it already, and was well-prepared for it! <3 <3 He was so near that I can see him sweat and that he had eye liners on! Hahahaha.

#37 Nice graphics ehh! Never seen any graphic like this in any other concerts!! The following song was 心事谁人知 – Problems No One Knows (a very famous Taiwanese Hokkien song) + 爸我回来了 – Dad, I’m Back! I like how he combined both these songs..!!

#38 Then it was 雨下一整晚 – It Rained All Night.

#39 And duet again with Gary in 爱的飞行日记 – Love Diary on Friday. 月光 – Moonlight on Saturday! Woot!!!

#40 And here’s the peak of the whole show on Friday night. He asked his fans to stand up. And I saw people from the VVIP area rushed to the front. I cannot miss this chance. I rushed all the way to the front too. I was really dying for the spot and I squeezed in the crowd and reached the first spot right in front of the stage, in front of the RELA guards. That explained why I had such a nice picture of Jay above! And I swear I had eye contact with him <3 <3

He was singing 简单爱 – Simple Love at the point of time. Awwwwwwwww. However, we were all shoo-ed back to our seats, rudely. Those guards were really rough and rude. They pulled my bag so hard I felt like I was in a fight. They whistled so loud I could not hear anything else. Pfft. I didn’t want it to spoil my mood so I went back to my seat quietly.

This situation did not happen on Saturday because he did not ask the fans to stand up then. HOW LUCKY WAS I!

#41 He then continued by singing 超人不会飞 – Superman Can’t Fly. I was surprised that he sang this song… The graphics behind him was emo… And I don’t know if you guys heard his voice or saw him.. He was teary while singing this song. Sigh.. That’s so sad D: No, he didn’t sing this song on Saturday. I wonder why.

#42 See, I was all the way back to my original seat. 以父之名 – In the Name of Father was the next song. Gosh. I am officially jealous of the girl dancer who sat and danced beside him during this performance. She touched him, everywhere, non-stop. Pfft.

#43 ANOTHER PEAK OF THE SHOW ON FRIDAY NIGHT. I WAS SO LUCKY AGAIN. He said, “我唱歌的时候，前面都是满满的人… - There are usually a lot people in front of the stage when I sing during my concert. Where are my fans?” And so, everyone rushed to the front again. And me being me, fighting for what I want, I went from row 9 to the front again!!! :D :D The benefit of being small. Hahahaha.

He said, “不用拦我的歌迷！- Please do not stop my fans…” Omg. That melted all of us. I was so near to him that he went out of my camera’s frame! Hahahahaha. Since then, I never return to my seat. I felt quite bad after realising Yong Tze was all alone behind, sorry but I think she understood :)

This did not happen on Saturday but instead, he went down to shake the fans who stood in front of the VVIP area :)

#44 Best song when I was at the best position of the stadium. He sang my favourite song 开不了口 – Can’t OpenMy Mouth. The same song still reminds me of the same thing, same person…

#45 I think this song meant something for Jay too because he never fail to sing this song in each of his concert so far <3 <3 And it will always be the “last” song of the night.

#46 Encore starts there! He came out with the piano again, singing 给我一首个的时间 – Give Me Time of a Song.

#47 Purple lights and purple outfit! Hee.

#48 Love his dancing here. And no, Jolin was not there. And to be specified, she appeared only ONCE in one of his shows in Taiwan. Please don’t complain if you don’t see her here in Malaysia.

He dropped his microphone at the end of this dance on Saturday night. It was a little awkward ;p

#49 And here comes Lara again. I was kinda confused when she appeared. I thought it was already the encore session but why does the guest appear again. Hmmmn…

#50 Anyway, they sang the very famous duet 珊瑚海 – Coral Sea.

#51 Then Jay left. Confused again. Lara was alone on stage singing her own song 我不再怕 – I’m No Longer Afraid. It was quite a weird arrangement. Different from the DVD I’ve watched.

#52 Ahh ahh! Jay is back in action again! At this point of time, I knew there were only 2-3 songs left. Ahhh. I was really sad to leave the stadium so soon.. It has been only 3 hours and me standing right in front of him for only 30 minutes? Gosh. I want to stand there longer!

#53 HE WAS SO NEAR!!!!! I mean, I WAS SO NEAR TO THE STAGE. Wuwuwu, he actually got a lot thinner from the movie Green Hornet but me likey! :p

#54 Him singing 东风破 – East Wind Breaks on Friday night and 七里香 – Orange Jasmine on another night. I preferred Orange Jasmine’s performance. It was so good I had to give Natalie a call, for her to listen to him as she attended the first show only.

#55 Last but not least, 双节棍 – Nunchunks!!!

#57 I can’t tell if this is a bad or a good picture but I kinda like it. Hahaha.

#58 Check out the neon nunchunks. I want to get it from his hands so badly but both the nights, he threw it to his right side and front while I was in front and on his left, respectively on Friday and Saturday. Pfft. But I heard from the others that no one really got it because it was smashes while people trying to snatch it for themselves.

#59 Hu hu ha heeeeeeeeee!!!! Ahhh, the last footage of the concert. I wanted more. I wanted to hear him sing 安静 – Silence T___________T But this is the end already…… Ahhh.. The concert ended 3 hours after it started, both the nights. Ahhh!!!

#60 We get to meet up only after the concert ended. The fishball girls with pink neon light sticks :)

You know what? I really want to snap a picture with Jay. Only once will do already T_T That is like an achievement in life, said Cindy. I want I want. I envy of those who have taken picture with him T____________T Sigh. I want more of Jay Chou!!

He was really sweet during both the nights. He talked a lot which he didn’t previously. He said so many things like.. Malaysia has a lot of pretty girls. Malaysian fans are so passionated and high. He should have came here to do his movie promo for Green Hornet because the movie’s responses were really good here. What else? Ooh, he also mentioned that he is going to film his new movie in Malaysia and he asked us to do site visiting! Hahahaha not like we know where is that going to be. I wish to be there weh!

Anyway, if you noticed, more pictures and explanations were taken and done based on Friday’s show because it was really hard for me to capture on Saturday. I do not like paying RM760 to stand and strain myself. I had to tilt my head all the time as everyone else was bigger than I do. Pfft. So I stood there quietly and listened to his improved singing skills. I’m gonna buy only the VVIP seats next time. No more rock zone, gosh! First and this may also be the last experience like this. Too exhausting and totally not worth it. Just imagine if I didn’t get the free VVIP tickets. I wouldn’t be enjoying the show and privileges being right in front of him!! Hehehe.

Too much of pictures? Not really because these are only 12% of what I’ve taken on both nights!! Hahahahaha. So now, what do you think of his show!!! I think I made quite a detailed post-concert entry, I hope I did not miss anything out eh. It was really awesome for me. I wanna hear it from you now! :)
