My 3rd day in Taiwan

#01 The first picture I took on that day. A candid one while waiting for our breakfast.

#02 Ru Rou Fan again. I miss it like mad now...........

#03 The very delicious fried carrot cake, and Oh Ah Jian, the oysters fried egg.

#04 A bubble tea a day, keeps us happy! Hahahahaha.

#05 After the breakfast, we walked around looking for a place that we can change our Singapore dollars to Taiwan dollars. Suprisingly, they do not have money changer like we can find in KL and Singapore. Their banks do not accept Singapore dollars either. Quite ridiculous right? And we had to walk around town about an hour plus to the main office of the Taiwan Bank. Shit. So bad lar the service. Ish. But looking at the bright side, we did a lot of shopping while looking for the bank. And I bought this pink sweater which I refer it to Tong Jia Di jacket because of the Taiwan series, Why Why Love. Hahaha.

#06 And there was this fruit stall that caught our attentions with ther very colourful fruits.

#07 They looked very delicious and only looked delicious. Hahaha. But nevermind, they costed us only NT40 for a box like this.

#08 Little tomatoes.

#09 "We are tourists mar, so we can take whatever pictures. Haha"

#10 Later hor, we took taxi to one of the place where I have planned to go ever since the day I know I am going to Taiwan. GUESS WHERE!

#11 Phantaci. Or else pronounced as Fantasy. The shop owned by JAY CHOU! My outfit super matching hor!

#12 His shop freaking hard to find lor. It was our second attempt and obviously we failed he first. And when we were there, the shop wasnt open yet. It was freaking 1pm already eh.

#13 So we took pictures with the door first lor. Hahahahahahaha. And went other places for shopping and lunch. And the shop only opens at 3pm. Was so excited when I entered the shop becaus I see familiar clothes and accessories that Jay has. Wanted to get a sneaker but I dint like what they had there so I got something else. Die die must buy something from there. Guess what!

#14 The tired legs.

#15 Then later we went to Shih Da night market. That was a place full of foooooooooooooood. Not much clothes.

#16 We were attracted by these big apples.

#17 I thought they were coated with chocolate eh. It was not lor. I was stupid. Its caramel. Bu hao chi.

#18 They also had this stall which sells fries in various flavours. These are gooood!!! :)

#19 This one also very nice. Muahahahahaa.

#20 I love smelly tofu :) :) :) :)

Whatever la. Anything la.

One day, vvens went to a hawker stall. She was so hungry and almost going to faint la. And that lead her to her emo-ness. She apa mood pun tak ada. And then, she throw herself on the red big plastic chair available there. Then the waiter came to her. He is an old uncle with a toothpick in between his lips.

"Drink what ah, xiao jie?" he said.

She was so emo and she said,"Whatever la. Anything la.!!!" Then the uncle went off. And came back with these......

And vvens faints immediately.! Hahahaha.

Okay. It was lame, I know. Hahaha. If only I could show you the commercial for these drinks. They are equally lame. These set of drinks are currently new in Singapore market. I was totally speechless when I saw them. Haha. I bought them before I came back to KL. They are not cheap okay. Its SD1.50 for one which is approximately RM3 for one. I think I can get any 2 soft drinks here and get some small changes back. ;p

To me, the drinks are quite similar to Kickapoo, the joy juice. Somehow sweeter. Not too bad afterall. But it was the name, and the commercials of the product that attracted me. Their print ad available in bus stops are so lame yet cool! :)

Even my brother and cousins were influenced by the tvc. They actually went to the restaurant and asked for the drink by saying, "Whatever!" ;p

Mee Cake

To all mee and egg lovers, I'm going to teach you how to cook mee cake in this entry. Hahahaha. I wonder if you have ever ate this, but I've definitely have not seen this cute snack before. Hehe.

First, get a packet of instant mee, the best would be Mamee because I think the mee is absolutely delicious. Maggi would be nice too. And also two eggs for each packet of me you want to cook. The portion of one packet of mee is just right for 2 person.

Next, cook the mee with clean water. While you're cooking the mee, do not waste your time. Beat the eggs in a big bowl. BIG bowl. Then, add in the seasoning available in the instant mee packet. Chicken flavour would taste the best, but no harm putting other flavours like TomYam. Haha. Then, mix them well.

When the mee is done, put it in the bowl with the eggs and seasoning. That's why yo need a big bowl in the begining. And make sure you don't take any of the water there and put it into the eggs.

And now, you can heat your pan or cooking wok with oil. More oil will definitely be better. So that it does not stick to the pan. Make sure you absorb the oil later with the kitchen tissues la. Fry bit by bit of the mee, about one bite everytime with some eggs. Fry it like pan cakes.

Turn it over once in awhile. And repeat this until you finished all the mees and egg. When you're done, you mee cake will obviously look like........

IF you are a bad cook like me. HAHAHA. But it still taste delicious! Omg. Even better with ketchup sauce. Better try it when you're free because its like super easy to prepare when you're hungry. Even a bad cook like me can handle it. Hahahaha. I promise its nice because my brother loves it. Hahaha.

Credits to Chiam Carmen for teaching me ;p

The 8th Night

The 8th night of Lunar New Year, is the night where Hokkiens all over the country do their praying stuff. To be more exact, they pray to Tian Goong once the clock strikes 12am. Although I'm not a Hokkien (my mum and her family are) , I never fail to pray every year, even if I'm having my mid term examination this morning. Hehe.

We had Lou Sang while waiting for time to pass. After that, we had movies.. Not forgetting my revision notes too. Until it was 11 plus, we started to prepare everything needed for the event. Most of them are food for praying.

Woops! The bird nest is not for praying. It's mine. Hehehe. We had so many things to do that night. Everyone was so busy and I was also busy, taking pictures. Of course, I did help them out after taking these pictures. Hehe.

The time was just right when we finished the work. Once it strikes 12am, everyone in the house rushed to the toilet and had our hands washed. We then rushed to the praying table again, grabbed our joss stick, lit them up and started praying. Heehe. I did not forget to take even more pictures...

Okay. My grandma was mad at me when she knew I took this picture of her. She's a camera shy! :p

And the last thing we did last night was to BURN EVERYTHING! Hahaha. And and (I'm in a hurry) then, we went home and planned to sleep......But I could not. I was so nervous about the papers today. I'm so scared because the revision I did, I knew its not enough. I thouht I'll be death but lucky, the papers today were not as tough as I thought. Hehe. I hope the same thing happens tomorrow. :)

All the best to people who has exam (like me)!!

Oh Oreo

This is another assignment of mine, to design a brand new advertisement for any product I like. I choose Oreo as my product. I wanted to use so many products you know and I also don't know why I ended up with Oreo. I don't even like them as much as M&M's.

Initially, I want to portray the Oreo with the milk, using my friend as the model. I think the idea was good enough but I wasn't skillful enough to make the idea come to reality. I failed it. I don't even have the time to take pictures of my friend.

The dateline is near, exam is near and I'm so frustrated about this assignment. My friends are almost reaching the final work but I haven't even started. I'm so dead. I don't even have the mood to start my revision because it is still Chinese New Year. Hahahaha. But actually, exams are starting on Monday. OH SHIT! *faints*

I really could not care more about that assignment. I have loads more of them waiting for me. There is another Communication Research and a Magazine Designing assignment waiting for me. I cannot drag the work. Sigh. So ah, I just cincai on my camera and snapped some pictures of myself with Oreo about an hour ago.

Surprisingly, the pictures came out quite good because this time I was very smart, I set up the white background myself or not you will see the star on my orange wall, my camwhore spot in my room. Oh, I love clean backgrounds. HAHA. At least I'm satisfied with the pictures now. And I need tagline suggestions from you guys! :) Oh please help me. *Puppy eyes*

I personally like the picture above (because my hair looks good) but I cannot use that as my advertisement poster because I think its irrelevant lar. Cannot see the cookie somemore. After 9028705643276984276 shots of me and my oreo, which I "edited" by putting 4 layers of cream instead of 1 to make it look a little more obvious, I finally decided to use the picture below.

Hahaha. I know it looks silly and fake but I like it eh. I edited the colour of the Oreos. Looking better than the ones above right! The cookie at the bottom, on top of my lips is real. The rest are duplicated by me. Hahahaha. So, please give me some ideas of the tagline. Pretty please. As my angpau? Hahaha.

Like a pig

I think I forgotten to wish everyone here, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

Yesterday was the first day of the Boar year, which is the piggie year. As usual, I went back to my grandparents' place for reunion. I cleaned myself once I woke up in the morning and I changed myself in my newly bought clothes. It was black. It was the only new top I bought for Chinese New Year. I thought it was okay to wear black because I wore black too, last year. Hahaha. How would I know that my mum is more superstitious than me. She stopped me from wearing it to their place. She said that they'll scold and stuffs. Aih. I've no other choice but to wear some other "bright" old clothes.

Although I'm not wearing something new on me but at least I've something new "under" me. Hehehe. I bought a new shoe which costed me a bomb! But no deny that the shoe was a very pretty pair. :)

Once I reached their place, the first thing I did was eating the cookies instead of wishing and greeting them. Haha. That makes me sounded really like a pig. I could not resist the cookies. I ate so much that you'll never imagine. I ate non stop since the week before Chinese New Year. even had some half-eaten bottle of cookies in my room, beside my bed. Haha. How I wish they can make me grow fatter this year (like a pig), but at the right part. ;p

Like every other years, my grandparents would cook the longevity mee, mee suah for each and every of us plus a hard-boiled egg. It is like a tradition in my family to eat it. It a must-do thing already. If you dont know why is it called the longevity mee, it is because the mee comes in a bundle with only one end. They do not cut or tear it when they cook it to make it as long as possible, like our life. And when you're eating it, you're not supposed to bite them into smaller pieces like how you eat maggie mee. Hehe. We're supposed to take a small portion and eat it, bite it in our mouth lar. Just dont bite it, its like cutting down your long life. Hahaha.

And do you know what's the best thing durin Chinese New Year besides gettng angpaus? Its the soft drinks in your house! YAAAAAAAY! It is the only time where your parents would not control how much you drink. Hehhahha. I've so mnay varities in my house you know. It would be something funny if I dont grow any fatter after the season with the soft drinks plus cookies. And not forgetting the reunion meals.

I dont understand why people can cook much better during the festive season. Why la! Why lar normally the food not a delicious as these! Let's see whether can I really gain weight during this time. Hehehehe.

Current weight : 35kg ;p

*Off for lunch!*

I hate it when people use weird weird ways to look at me. I dont like it when people describe me as a stick or a lidi. I know I'm thin, obviously but I'm not an alien or someone aneroxia. Please dont remind me that the strong wind will blow me away.

If you ever have the chance to eat with me, then only you'll know me. I do eat. Sometimes a lot. The times when you see me dont eat is the time when I'm depress. BUT if you want to see me eating again, happily, these are the food you can buy me when I refuse to eat. :)

Tutu Cake in S'pore

No joke. I was cheated to come over Singapore this time. I thought I was going to have a new laptop that's why i agreed to come over for a couple of days before my exam. Dream dashes when i know there is no laptop for me at the moment. Sigh. But wth my brother has a new phone. He has got the Nokia N73!!!!! Crazy?!?!?!?!?!?! I want it tooooooooo. I know I sound greedy.

No laptop, no phone, at least some cash lar please. Or not how am I going to shop here. Was very disappointed actaully. No nothing. But lucky, I've got a few hours to spend in Bugis with Elaine where I spent around 40 bucks only. Yeah, that's everything I have in my wallet. I saw so many pretty clothes, shoes and acssesories but I cant take them home. So sad right. I fell in love with a top, a shorts and a pair of earring but I can choose only one of them. ;(

And a bit of money to eat my favourite kuih here in Singapore, the tu-tu cake.

I know most Malaysian do not have any idea on this tutu stuff. Here, I can only show you how they look like but I cant tell you how tasty they are until you come and try yourself here, only in Singapore, so far I know!

They are not char siew pau okay! ;p Basically, they are just peanut covered with flour. But you can never imagine the combination of both these items, they will bring you magic. Because they are absolutely delicious!!!! Those you can find in KL are made from brown sugar. Like, eww? Must try them whenever you're at Singapore. They are available at almost everywhere and they arecheap!! It cost you only $D2 for 5 pieces of tutu cake ;)

But one thing, never take Yakult drink with tutu cake. They will cause your tummy to bloat like us both! ;p We did suffered for awhile. Hahaha.

Reunion @ Thai

Before I left Singapore yesterday, I had a reunion lunch with my mum and both her sisters and families. We're only sort of my grandparents and both my little cousins and its a full family reunion; which didn't happen for almost 5 years. I think the last time we had everyone together was during my uncle's marriage. This doesn't include my 3 little cousins. Hmmn. Its hard for us to have a gathering like this.

So yesterday, we went to Bishan's Junction 8 for our dinner and me pulling my lagguage all along in the complex when everyone started to stare at me. Lucky the colour of the bag and my outfit matched. Hahaha.

Thai Restaurant @ J8

While we were waiting for the food's arrival.....

They looked so alike that Elaine is afraid people would mistaken them with TWINS.

And here comes the food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was my second time eating there and the food there are still so yummy. Tee hee. This time, I ordered soemthing new to me there. The glass noodle with fish and tomyam soup. It sounds so delicious right? But no! It was toooooooooooooooooooooooooo spicy that almost every bite makes me choke. It is the bowl of mee in non-coloured soup; picture number2 row1. It doesn't look spicy at all right?!?!

And so, I pass it to my mum. I can't take it. REALLY. I ate her pineapple fried rice that was FABULOUS! And I too ate the fried glass noodle that Elaine ordered; picture1 row1. It was much more tastier than what I've ordered! Yummy yummy!!

I think everyone enjoyed their meal. The food is just too good. I wanna go there again!! Hahaha. But! Try not to order the Mango Sago there. The first time I had it, it was really awful I have to say. ;( The Mango Sago in Coca Restaurant is much more better! Hahaha.

And what's for dessert?? Red bean coconut ice-cream!! I think is was damn good that even my mum was trying to snatch that bowl of ice-cream from the others. Hahahaha.

Damn satisfied with that meal. But it would be better if I didn't order what looks nice and doesn't taste good earlier. ;(

And neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeext, we had something everyone love to eat...!!!

Cun right??!?!?!
