Girls, makeups & camwhoring

I have been reading blogs, girls' blogs that have posts ranting about the make ups they do and the procedures. I also want to post something like that! Hahahahaha. And normally the we will start by posting our picture before makeups! Beware!!!! #01 This is me without anything on my face. Naked face. Oh ew. Look at my eyes :( I think I need a cosmetic surgery, getting my eye lids done. So ugly that I cant even smile infront of the camera. Haha. #02 I'm just too tired to put on eye lid stickers everyday. It actually hurts each and everytime i stick and peel them off ::( But I haveno other choices now. #03 Once I'm done with sticking on the sticker, I continue by drawing my brows. A little bit at the front and at the end. Then after that, I'll draw on my eyeliners. I cannot not draw it. I'm so dependent on my eyeliner because it can helps me to hide the sticker, sometimes. Hehehe. #04 Why my eye so scary one?!!? #05 Then depending on my mood, if I'm happy and not in a hurry, I'll put on mascara :)I like to make my lashes dark and long. But one thing, I do not like to curl them. Oh well, that's about it actually! Hahaha I do not put on concealer beacuse when I do, they will be quite obvious in pictures that are taken with flashes. I do not put on foundation. I do not put on blusher, unless I look very pale and that I'm going for some formal events. I do not put on lip gloss or lip balm because I will end up eating them. Hhahahahaha. I put a lot of attention to my eyes. I think they are the most important features to be drawn nicely. Hehe. But I also dont put on eye shadow because I dont have any ;p #06 Although the differences are not a lot and obvious, but at least I felt more confident and comfortable. Can smile already. #07 My make up drawer :) #08 And these are the most important ones plus the eye lid sticker. Hehe. Did you know, I really feel much better after make ups. Shit. I am now so dependent on the make ups already. I dont think I can go out without them. Of course not to the extent that places I go like the market, or anywhere else that is not appropriate for make up lar. See lar, after make up can camwhore already!!! #09 Playing with the fan beside me. Oh well, my smile a bit awkward here. Hahaha. #10 I was also trying to camwhore with my guitar, Monkey but I failed. Its very hard for me to camwhore in the same small frame with the big Monkey. Sigh. #11 Unless I cut away myself like this. And why is my leg so black in colour ah!? #12 Oh yeah, count how many strings does Monkey has. Only 5!! How to play?! That is why I am playing with Carmen's for the whole week. And I named it King Kong. Hahahahaha. #13 And lastly, my favourite picture because I looked very emo. Hahahaa. And no matter how good I look in these pictures (I dint photoshop my face, just the colours), remember how I look before this! ;p MUAHAHAHHAHA.

It's OK to be Ugly!

Yes, seriously. I actually havent been using my concealer sinces ages because I've got photoshop! Hahaha. And when concealer plus flash, the picture you take will suck. Okay, that's not the point but this post is actually a post to teach you how to fix your pictures in Adobe Photoshop, in basic steps. And this is also usually how I fix my pictures before posting :) Of course, firstly you have to launh your programme. Then, open the picture or pictures that you want to fix. One rule that I always insist in photoshop is DUPLICATE your picture before you edit it. Things will go wrong okay. Nobody is perfect and bumi mana yang tidak ditimpa hujan. Haha. You can always undo your wrongs but there is only limited times you can undo it. And therefore by duplicating the layers before editing them actually helps you when you cant undo your wrongs anymore. You can actually erase the partial of the duplicated layer later. How to duplicate layers in Adobe Photoshop? Easy! Like shown in the image above, right click on the bar at the bottom right of your screen that says, "Background" then click on "Duplicate Layer". Click on "OK" layer. Then, you'll see another layer pop up above the "Background" layer. What's next? The next step is changing the levels in photoshop automatically. Why? It actually helps you to re-adjust the levels, or to say, the colour of your picture. Like, if there's a blue tinted layer on your picture because you took the picture in early morning, "Auto Levels" will help you re-adjust it to the original colour it supposed to be. There is another function, "Levels" but its very mafan because you cannot adjust it automatically. How to make auto levels? Well, go to "Image" at the bar on top, "Adjustment" then, hit on the "Auto Level" button. That's even easier right? Hehe. After Auto-ing your levels, you'll see the difference of your original picture's colour and also after that. You can see the difference easily by clicking on the "Visible/Invisible" icon which looks like an eye. Okay okay, after that, one of the most important step; removing pimples!! Pimples are sick and I have plenty of them that lasted from internship. Besides pimples, what also can remove. Wrinkles lar, mole lar, scar lar, anything lar. How to remove my pimples? Just by a few clicks away! Click on the icon that has a plaster on it. It is the "Spot Healing Brush" that will help you making yourself pretty :) In my advice, you should enlarge your picture so that you can erase them cleanly and precisely. Make sure your brush size is same as your pimple or not you might ruin your skin. Like me, I also remove my neck's wrinkles or whaever you call it. But if you remove it completely, it might look very fake, and this is what you can do. Adjust he opacity level! How ah? How to adjust the opacity level ah? Okay, move to the box which I cant remember the name, on the bottom righ tof the screen again like shown in above, just kindly adjust the percentage of it. It works like adjusting the transparency of the layer. You can adjust it to any percentage suiting to yourselves. And that is all. This is what i usually do to my pictures. Secret revealed! And now, I am solving a question people usually ask me. Why are your pictures so sharp? Whay are the colours so nice? Well, actually ah, its because of the camera. Canon can produce very sharp coloured pictures one lor, especially under the sunlight. I dont need to photoshop it one. But if you want to know how I'll show you how :) Go back to the righ bottom box where you see "Normal" with an arrow beside. Change it to "Overlay". And you'll see the difference. Haha. You can actually play with the options and you'll get different fun effects. As you can see after choosing the "Overlay" option, the colour turns very very fake. So as usual, adjust the opacity until it suits you :) And that's all! Ooh! And did you forget to duplicate that layer before adjusting the colour? ;p And finally, you can save up your work after adjusting to the size you want it to be. And remember to adjust your image to the maximun quality to have good pictures. If you save it under 10, your pictures will come out looking pixelated. Ew. AND THAT'S ABOUT IT! THIS IS HOW I USUALLY EDIT MY PICTURES :) The final product after adding the watermark :D So how, did you learn anything you dint know? I hope you did! Enjoy playing with Adobe Photoshop. Note: This might not be the most accurate way, or the right way, or the simplest way but it is how I make things work :)

Dont Worry, Be Ugly

Do you know that you have no more excuses to give whenever whoever wants to take your pictures? You cannot tell them that you're ugly, you're not photogenic, you've a big pimple on your nose, you've got big eye bags, you've got unwanted moles and that you have yellowish teeth. CANNOT! CANNOT! This is because there is such programme called the Adobe Photoshop. Do you know that Photoshop can do wonders ad magics on your pictures? Do not tell me you know now. And do not say that you dont know how to use it. Even a simple "Spot Healing Brush Tool" can help you remove your pimples away by clicks away. Hahaha. Dont just stuck in the "Hue & Saturation" and "Brightness & Contrast" tool in it. You can do so much more in it. Its okay if you do not attend photoshop classes, you can always learn by yourselve by trial and errors tactic. You'll feel damn good and satisfying and I-dont-know-what-else after you'e seen good works done by yourselves. Even if you still can learn it by yourselves, you can always refer to tutorials available online. They are free (click here!) And its good enough when you can master the basics of Photoshop. Hehehe. No more excuses!! NO MORE!!! And you see....... I can erase wrinkles on my neck, erase the ugly strap, erase the ugly background, erase my mole, make my eyes balance (okay, someone helped me with this), and adjust the colour nicer leh! Hahaha. That's why I'm so in love and so obsessed in my Adobe Photoshop version CS2. :) This proved even a full-flawed human or picture can be flawless! And now I want the brand new Photoshop CS3 leh! It has even more cool features that I've not came across. :( Okay,now this entry remind me of my Computer Graphics' exam tomorrow. Haha. And I'll be tested on Adobe Illustrator. So, I shall close my Photoshop now and practice on the Illustrator! Cioas.

Mee Cake

To all mee and egg lovers, I'm going to teach you how to cook mee cake in this entry. Hahahaha. I wonder if you have ever ate this, but I've definitely have not seen this cute snack before. Hehe. First, get a packet of instant mee, the best would be Mamee because I think the mee is absolutely delicious. Maggi would be nice too. And also two eggs for each packet of me you want to cook. The portion of one packet of mee is just right for 2 person. Next, cook the mee with clean water. While you're cooking the mee, do not waste your time. Beat the eggs in a big bowl. BIG bowl. Then, add in the seasoning available in the instant mee packet. Chicken flavour would taste the best, but no harm putting other flavours like TomYam. Haha. Then, mix them well. When the mee is done, put it in the bowl with the eggs and seasoning. That's why yo need a big bowl in the begining. And make sure you don't take any of the water there and put it into the eggs. And now, you can heat your pan or cooking wok with oil. More oil will definitely be better. So that it does not stick to the pan. Make sure you absorb the oil later with the kitchen tissues la. Fry bit by bit of the mee, about one bite everytime with some eggs. Fry it like pan cakes. Turn it over once in awhile. And repeat this until you finished all the mees and egg. When you're done, you mee cake will obviously look like........ IF you are a bad cook like me. HAHAHA. But it still taste delicious! Omg. Even better with ketchup sauce. Better try it when you're free because its like super easy to prepare when you're hungry. Even a bad cook like me can handle it. Hahahaha. I promise its nice because my brother loves it. Hahaha. Clothes you should never wear

Outfit #1: Vertical + horizontal stripes Either you'll look like a prisoner, the zebra crossing or someone who has just sat on a wet painted bench. Haha. I've really seen people wearing like this. I'm not making them out myself. I even asked them not to wear like this another time. Just plain funny. Outfit #2: Colourful tops and bottoms The example above is not good enough because I really dont have very colourful clothes. Seriously, eventhough we're still very young, we should never wear tops and bottoms that are more than 3 colours at a time. Denim's colour is not counted. Too colourful outfits will make us look like clowns, I'm really sorry but I really cant stand people who wears green+pink+blue+what so ever colour at the same time. Outfit #3: Same coloured tops and bottom OMG. I looked like the DiGi man minus the polka dots that Alia hates. Haha. Never never wear top and bottom that are the same colour. You'll look very very very very funny. Yellow is not the worst, I've seen people wearing both red top and bottom. They better dont die that day. :X Do not include dresses, I said top plus bottom. Outfit #4: Not even same pattern at a time!! You see what I meant, you'll look like a pirated soldier out of no where. Hahaha. I know the Military trend, but dont abuse it. I've really seen people wearing like this in the mall. The worst thing is, the top and bottom doesnt match. They are not even a set which make them look very very funny like me in the picture above. Outfit #5 : You see for yourself The colours are the same, they are matching but watch out the stripes and the polka dots. Man, seriously, people should have look longer in the mirror before the step out their houses. Why no one tell them they look funny one. Outfit #6: Baggy top + baggy/flare bottoms I think the picture above is still not a very good example for bad clothes but I really do not have very baggy clothes. Do not wear big top with a big bottom because besides looking like a expected mother, you'll look very messy. Even hip hop youngsters do not wear like this. And also a big no-no to the very tight tops plus very tight bottoms. Trust me, you'll look like a dumpling. Outfit #7 : Mini tube + mini skirt Unless clubbing or some other special events. Because you'll be named as the "attention seeker". Long tube is okay to me. Outfit #8: Printed tees + printed jeans Because you'll look very complicated. Make sure there is only ONE thing on your body that is catchy. Too much of if, you'll look very complicated. Outfit #9: Long tops + short bottoms Because you'll look very ugly as if you wear no bottoms like people who are just awake from sleeps. Teehee. Outfit #10: With 9210358932573 items on your body Please, stop wearing hair bands + cardigan + beads necklace + big belts + layered skirt + leggings + platform shoes. I dont see the "catch" you're trying to show. One at a time please. Even items or accessories need to queue up. Vvens love simplicity. Being simple is being pretty. :) Note : I did not refer to anyone or anything in the entry. Sorry if you feel offended. Just purely my own opinions because I'm sick of it.

Things To Do On A Date

As you may know, Vivien Sam is a very boring person. Sometimes not creative enough to think of something new to do on a date. So, this book caught my attention... And without considering, I bought it! And was quite disappointed with the tips they provided in the book. They provided ideas as much as 2002 ideas on things to do on a date BUT I ended up repeating "Cheh"s after reading each one by one. I'm really sorry but perhaps those ideas are just not what I'm looking for. However, there are some creative ones which inspired me. :) Like, #0006 Having "your table" at your favourite restaurant Its like scenes you've seen played by pretty actors and actress on TV drama. I never thought of trying it myself. Hahaha. #0009 Ask your date our with a formal invitation I honestly think this idea is awesome!! :) But, if I were to ask him out for a date, I have to call or text him. It isnt formal anymore. Perhaps getting a invitation card ready for the NEXT date. #0115 Go grocery shopping at 03:00 am Is there any other grocery shop beside 7-11 that opens at this period? Even if there is, my mum would kill me. :( #0274 Spread a blanket on the living room floor and have an indoor picnic Doesn't this sounds cool! I would love to try this one day but I will not use my own blanket. ;p #0301 Take an IQ test together I've done this before if Mensa test if counted! He sat right beside me in the hall too :) WEE! Just for a mini reminder, or you may call this as boasting, HAHAHA, I've score 180 for it but nobody believes me. Sigh. #0372 Buy matching funky sunglasses I've planned to get a matching pair of glasses too! Hehe. But I only wear them when I'm using the computer at night. Haha. #0411 Go for a drive and kiss during red lights NO! Try during green lights! *Evil laughs* #0473 Go take a class to learn foreign language together Its best when you pick up to learn something not much people around you would understand. Then, you can talk about anything, even secrets even if they are around! And many many many more to list... As for me, myself, I would suggest/love to.... #0001 Camwhore together! Snap and save them in somewhere the pictures will be safe from being lost. :) Those are precious things you'll love to see again sometime later. Even better, print them and paste them all over your room's wall! #0002 Drag some young kids together during your date I love kids, and by then, you'll know what kind of a person your date would be. Dump him if he hates them. Hahahaha.. #0003 Cook together in your kitchen Ahahaha. Besides playing, you get to know who can cooks better. #0004 Open up your very own saloon Well, go get the siccsors and start cutting his/her hair. YAY! Or not, play with eat others hair by tying all sorts of style you know. #0005 Draw a portrait of each other Dont worry it'll be ugly but that's you drawn by the talented him/her! :D And so on.... When you're in the changing room...

I wonder if you have heard about this BIG news about few weeks ago, when a celebrity from HongKong was snapped while changing in the room at Genting Highlands. I think the HK paparazies were very mean to hide a camera in their closet during their concert. They then, posted the pictures of this pretty lady changing, almost naked, in almost all magazines! Even worse, when they did something so bad in Malaysia. It somehow gives people a bad image on us. Why Malaysia sounds so dangerous? Lucky, they've got the things cleared that it is not done by us! However, I did wonder if they were bribed? *_* Anyway, I think they really went out of limit this time. HK paparazies are so famous in tailing and stalking celebrities. Publish their ugliest picture they can get or create rumours and negative things about someone famous. Showing the public private things about them, like putting up pictures they get to take what they did at home. Bla bla bla. And yet, this particular issue has brought up the celebrities right and laws. Although someone is sacrificed, like said, we have to take one step down to move another step forward. :) Nothing is so bad afterall. Due to this, I was taught how to be aware of it. Okay, maybe we are not any famous people here but who knows that people around you are normal. Lalalala. Not hinting about anyone, but why not just take precaution steps before anything bad happens? Does anyone of you here never seen a one side mirror? Erm, I dont exactly know the term for it but its a kind of glass which normally certain shops or police stations uses where people from the inside can get to see people outside BUT people outside can only view their own reflection like a real mirror. Erm, bad explanation I guess. ;p We, girls, should always be aware of that when we are going to try on clothes in shops' changing rooms. How? Easy! Just use your fingers! Hahaha. Yes. I'm not kidding you. Just use your finger, point it to the mirror. Make sure you touch the mirror okay. Take a look at the reflection. A real mirror should have this effect where you can see a gap between the object and the image, like shown in the picture above. Get what I'm trying to say? If there's no space in between, dont change!! Complain about it! There's people sitting over the glass peeping at you! What if they put a camera in the room? I would not know right? NO! You can try it with your phone. Try to make a phone call. I was told that if the connectivity is bad, when there's no line available in your phone, that means there is something wrong with the room. There must be some cameras and vehichles which supports the camera around. Very simple ways to protect yourself BUT if you are still unsure, just face your back to the mirror! Dont get yourself exposed.

The Power of Ribbons

I had a black, plain, dull, cheap and smelly pair of shoe. It was actually a school shoe. You might not wear it outside the school and might not even like it. But I had an urge to buy it when I see the shoe. At first, a bought a white one. I want to design the shoe and make it MY shoe but I failed. I have no idea on how to modify it. This black one was given by Elaine. Yes. From what I know it is only available in Singapore. I have never seen this shoe anywhere in Malaysia. It is only $D4.50. Once I got the shoe, my mind went blank. What should I do with it? Hmmmn. Until I heard my grandma said, "Ehh you know your cousin made it into some ballet shoes.." Uuh. Once i heard that, I had a rough idea to modify my shoe. I added ribbons on it. Sorry if i copy your idea, Elaine but I think it is nice too! ;) Better than before right? Hehe. I liked the modified one. The ribbon on it really made the differences. Hahahaha. Its like how the ribbon made Mickey and Minnie different. ;p And how, the white one. Lack of ideas. Anyone has any goooooooooood suggestion on the next D.I.Y shoe?

Perfumed hair

I feel good when i receive compliments regarding my hair. I like to hear people saying... "Vivien, nice curls!" "Nice colour....." (but it faded) "Hey, where did you made your curls?" And the most recent one would be, "Eh Vivien, you hair smells good." ;) I know my curls are nice. ;p I love it too. But i could not smell my hair. I don't know. Whenever someone tells me it smells good I would smell my hair instantly and I smell nothing. Maybe it is because that I'm used to it? Some people even asked me if I put on perfume. Some said that the scent follows me everywhere I go. And sometimes iIvery awkward when the guys in my class said it smells good. I thought they were crazy or what in the begining. LOL. So i was thinking what wad the reason that cause the scent on my hair. It could not be my natural scent. LOL. It might be some products I used on my hair. During bath, I used product number4 shown on the picture above. Its a shampoo which is suitable for all kinds of hair. Then followed my the usage of product number3; the conditioner. After my bath, i would rinse my hair once with the towel and then spray product number1 on my wet hair. It is to help my hair stay curl and bright. Lastly, if I'm going out for a date or college, I would apple mousse, product number2 which it very important for a stylish and volumised hair. ;p All of them are products of Amway except the curl-defining spray which is from Loreal. I wonder and wonder, what actually made the scent on my hair smells nice as all the them smells good to me. I guess it would be the mousse. Because it is the last thing i apply on my hair everyday and it might be the one covering up the rest. Teehee. Thanks moouse. ;) Anyone wanna get them? They are all below rm30 for each product. ;p And yes, I'm helping my mum to promote her company's stuffs if you ever realise. Amway!!!!! ;)

D.I.Y Furry Ball

I'm sick of the routine i'm having now everyday. Wake up, eat, tv or either exercise, bath, eat, tv, slack, computer, eat, tv then sleep. I dont mind if i'm going fatter. But the problem is NO. Sigh. Anyway, not going to talk about my thin-fat problem again. Hahaha. Just that i feel so bored and so, i had this feeling to teach some D.I.Y stuffs here. Hahaha. Dont worry. I'm not going to teach you how to knit lar.. ;) I'm going to show you how to make a furry ball with knitting threads. Firstly, prepare the stuffs like knitting thread that you can find anywhere like Jusco with very low prices, sisscors, ruler, cardboard and a pair of patience hands. Cut out a cardboard of size 3cm X 20cm. Then, cut both the ends like shown above. Next, cut an any-colour-thread and put it in between the both cuts. Make sure one side of the thread is connected and one is not. Now, start to roll the cardboard with the thread colour you want. Roll Roll and roll. Then after you rolled so times, you push them aside. And if you want to add some other colours you can too. ;) Or even roll two colours' thread at a time to have a different effect. Roll roll roll... Keep on rolling... Until you get something like that.. Hehe. Next, pull out the thread within and tie them together like shown as above. After you tied it, push the threads out. Or the other way, pull the cardboard out. Tighthen the thread. Make sure you dont spoil the thing when you are seperating the cardboard and the thread. Slowly. Then, you will get something like above. Next, cut the center of the threads that formed a circle from the side. You're doing everything correctly when you get something similar to mine.! Lastly, trim it round.. Haha. As round as possible. And you'll get a furry ball. To get a nicer effect, comb it to make it hairy. ;) Cheers!!! Okie lar, do this only when you're dead bored like me.
